MS Ruth Mokoatle

PROJECT MANAGER

Ms Ruth Mokoatle has a Social Work background and has worked on various community engagement projects in the different roles of project coordinator, project leader and project manager. Ruth has worked on conceptualisation and development of building systems of care for Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC), assessment of community level care for women and children, on development of integrated district plans for mobilisation of community based resources with a particular focus on maternal and child health services.

She has worked on conceptualisation and implementation of community level-care initiative for women and children with five district municipalities in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She developed the project plan for all the districts, getting buy in from key stakeholders, facilitating workshops with key stakeholders, data analysis and writing of monthly reports and end of the project report.

She is currently a project manager for community homestays for 6th year medical students who are placed in rural sites for rural rotation for six weeks. Ruth willing and committed in furthering her skills and competency in research as well as transforming community projects into participatory research.
