Dr Nonzuzo Mbokazi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Health Systems with the ARISE project, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Nonzuzo is a passionate advocate for community health, gender equity and the recognition of the care economy. She has experience in collaborative work with various organisations to develop context sensitive health interventions, contributing to the field through her work on health inequities, examining how systemic racism and social determinants impact the health outcomes of marginalised communities. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has influenced public health policies aimed at reducing disparities.
