Many health systems in low- and middle-income countries face challenges in delivering high-quality, equitable care. There is a need for robust evidence and practical solutions to guide health system transformation globally.

As a QuEST Centre, UKZN collaborates in a multi-country network to generate and test solutions for health system strengthening. The centre conducts high-impact research and development, supports network activities, and works with policymakers and practitioners to translate evidence into actionable strategies.

Through research, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, the QuEST Centre contributes to improving health system performance and quality of care. Its work informs policy, strengthens institutional capacity, and fosters a global movement for sustainable, people-centred health systems.
