Kathryn Watt, Research Manager on the Asenze study, presented findings from Wave 3 of the study at the “Bold Ideas for Brighter Futures” conference hosted by the Karolinska Institute & UNICEF in Stockholm on 15-16 May 2024. The presentation entitled “Social Determinants of Adolescent Anxiety and Depression in a Peri-urban Cohort in South Africa” highlighted the value of looking at adolescents’ context holistically when considering possible points of intervention to protect young people’s mental health in resource-constrained settings.
